Could anyone give me reliable websites to consider for appraisals? Maybe some tips in acquiring appraisals?

Thank you!

I have used http://www.collectingchannel.com in the past. It was fast, easy and accurate for the items I have requested. Around $20 for an appraisal.

You might try looking around locally for an auctionhouse that does free appraisals. There is one in the Boston area, Skinner's, that does them. I know because I have tried them and I found them to be very helpful and accurate in appraising my doll collection.
