I am looking for a musical instrument that looks like a washboard but is on a vest that the player puts on.

I have done numerous searches but do not know what it is called.

This instrument is used when playing blue grass music..

please help me either find out the name or some web sites I can search

I may be wrong, but I think it's actually referred to as a washboard... there may not be a fancier name for it.

Also called a Frottoir or Rubboard?

kiara, once i typed Frottoir in to search, there it was.

thank you so much....just could not get the name, even from a music store owner!
