Just rec'd this in an email ... "please dont threaten me with bad feeback..to each his own...and I will do it back.
". For the record, I didn't threaten the seller . I guess "is this allowed" isn't the correct wording. Just about anything can be "allowed". It's what you can get away with. Anyway, what does ebay say about this, if anything, should be the proper question.

a little more info might be helpful.

i know of quite a few sellers who only leave retaliatory feedback....you neg them and then they leave neg for you...

ebay doesn't care unless it is foul language...then they sometimes remove it

This is a continuation of a problem that I discussed in the following thread:
http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=475254

The seller has suggested I don't know how to wash clothes, then suggested my detergent was to blame. Suggested my water was bad. Now they want me to take a picture of the water that comes from the washing machine showing the dye that comes from the clothing. I just reread my emails to her and never threatened her with negative feedback. Another buyer neg'd her twice with similar problems with merhandise from the same store that closed. I suggested to her that perhaps the merchandise was old (mine has rusted safety pins used to attach the price tags) and used the previous buyer's feedback to support my claim in addition to pictures that I took of the rusted pins and emailed to her. Then I get an email that started out with the "you neg me, I'll neg you back" crap.

You can read about feedback extortion at this link: http://webhelp.ebay.com/cgi-bin/eHNC/showdoc-ebay.tcl?docid=458&queryid=feedback_extortion

Do you have a digital camera? Why not accomadate her and take pictures of the water coming out of the washer probably the rinse also. By the sound of things she knows that what she sold was crap but she won't admit it because she will have to refund all the money.

The seller's TOS does say "All sales final".

It looks like she will leave negative feedback if you do as she has done it before.

I don't mean to sound harsh but this is one good reason to read the seller's TOS and the feedback before bidding. Now it may be too late to do anything about it except to leave negative feedback to warn others and hopefully they will read before bidding.

Is there a manufacturers name on the labels? If so, email them and complain that this seller is pushing low quality counterfeit clothing with their labels on them. Give them a link to VERO and have all her auctions shut down.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Neg the crap out of her. Don't worry about the retalitory neg you will get, just respond to it by stating that this is a retalitory neg by a bad seller.

I always check feedback. Unfortunately, at the time the auction ended, she had one neg six months ago. Between the time the auction ended and I received my merchandise, the other negs appeared. She offered to refund half my money but I have to pay the shipping. So I will pay ten bucks shipping to get back 15. Knowing her I would probably not get the money after I shipped to her. Yes, I am going to leave her some bad feedback since she has been really stupid about the whole mess. The poor sucker who got four negs from her said another seller on yahoo had the same problems. I have never had this kind of problem before and am not soured on ebay. One bad apple does not spoil the whole barrel, in spite of what the cliche says. The majority of us out here in ebay-cyber world are good honest hardworking sellers and buyers with morals. Ah, well. Such is life!

JinkiesVelma, your negative will hurt this seller more than her retaliatory one will hurt you.

This seller states the following terms upfront in her listing:

Please Read and Understand Terms,Conditions,Description before bidding to avoid complications after auction. QUESTIONS MUST BE ASKED BEFORE BIDDING!

All sales final.

Bidding and Buying.
As a buyer, you are obligated to complete the transaction with the seller:
By bidding on an item you agree to be bound by the conditions of sale included in the item's description so long as those conditions of sale are not in violation of this Agreement or unlawful.

___________________________________________

The clothing is being sold at abour $1.00 or so per piece. She does mention that they are close-out items and she most likely doesn't have time to test them all.

All bidders should be aware that when auctions state "All Sales Final" it is difficult to do anything afterwards.

if your negs state the facts...."poor quality clothing excessive dye rusted pins" or as much like that as possible...this will hurt her as a seller.

buyers that do check her feedback will take notice and at least some will pass her by no matter how cheap her items are
