Sold a book for $4.95 this morning; shipping method is "expedited mail." When I look at the definition of expedited mail, it is to guarantee 2 - 8 days' shipping time.
The book goes to Massachusetts, from California! Weighs 1.6 pounds, which, if I use Priority mail, will cost $5.75. However, the USPS site, when I put in the weight, says I can send it priority flat rate for $3.85. When I look at the flat-rate priority envelope, however, it states the charge will be for 2# priority no matter what the weight, which would cost $5.75. I am really confused now. What would you do?
I'm considering putting into my book sales the request "no priority shipping, please." I've been stung more than once now by this.

Never mind! I just found my print-out of the new postage rates and it states clearly that flat-rate priority up to 2# goes for $3.85. I'll bring that to the clerk and hope for the best.
