I love my Sony Mavica Camera for it's easy use but I have problems taking pictures of clothes that are the color red. I have added more light, less light, changed the settings, darker, lighter, added flash took off flash. They turn out either florescent red, orange or deep purple red. I sell dance costumes and I need my pictures to be the right colors. (I can not take pictures outside of clothing.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried sepia or other settings ? Also try taking the picture "dark" and then use your image application to brighten the picture. I take "dark" pictures of shiny objects and then brighten them with the image application so there is no glare or distortion. Works very well.

I have same problem ( I sell clothing on ebay )and my images always look grainy with the Sony Mavica.
I have found they turn out best with a black background and using those clamp on lights
I have tried everything and always end up going back to my trusty Epson ... takes me longer since I have to upload them onto my computer but get clearer pictures
I find The Mavica to be better for closeups . that does a great job !!
Would appreciate any tips also since I would love to just use my Mavica .. would be so much easier

Red is a problem with many digitial cameras not just Mavica's. Most digitial cameras will have some form of color shift depending on lighting. I have had 4 Mavica's and they are all pretty much the same. The best way to shot red items is outside on a sunny day. I am sure you will have promising results.
I just purchased a Kodak 4900 which seems to have some color compensation method built in -- the reds are amazingly true to color so far - but I have only shot a handful of items.
