Just relisted an auction and ebay charged an additional 5 cents for listing 7 days. When did they start charging for 7 day auctions?

If your talking about "Buy It Now" that's what I thought too but I went over and listed a new item and it does have the message "Auction duration: 7 days(a $0.05 surcharge)" and the BIN feature is not on this auction.

it is there for 3, 5 and 7 days...a 5 cent "length of auction" fee.
For 10 cents, you get ten days (as it has been for some time). Just noticed it today. Decided not to bother listing any new stuff until I know if this is an error or just another fee grab.

It was an eBay glitch, and they know about it.
From 03:00 PDT to 16:29 PDT, members using Sell Your Item 1.0 to list or relist 3-, 5- or 7-day auction-style listings were receiving a message stating that there was a five-cent surcharge for this type of listing. The message was in error, and there was no surcharge for 3-, 5- or 7-day auction-style listings. Seller accounts were not charged this extra fee. This issue affected only Sell Your Item 1.0; Sell Your Item 2.0 was unaffected.
The issue has been corrected, and sellers will no longer see this incorrect message.
