on 7/31 I purchased a Syracuse U Throw Blanket from an AW Store seller -- paid immediately via PayPal.

On 8/2, I receive this one & ONLY email from this "seller:"

"I am sorry my computer was down for 2 days I am shipping this out Sat" (would be 8/3)

No THROW yet, although I'm about ready to THROW-up as this "seller" refuses to respond to me email!

Any helpful ideas??

Contact Paypal about the situation. I believe they may make you might 30 days to give the goods a chance to arrive.

I would be patient a bit longer. Computers do break down. People also have problems. It is more than likely the package went out around mid week depending on the sellers form of shipping. We allow 5 to 7 working days when we give our customers an estimate on shipping time and one working week to prepare the product, package and orchestrate the delivery and shipping. Shippers also drop the ball and delay shipments and the seller has not control over that. Your follow up emails may not have been received and the seller might not realize you are feeling annoyed. Keep trying to make contact.

There are a few sellers that are not able to respond like Sears Catalog Departments but even Sears you are looking at 7 business days.

Receiving your merchandise by this coming week would not be unreasonable.

There are other options you can persue if you don't get the product by next week. The whole auction process is a rather slow way to buy or sell compared to driving down to the Mall for instant gratification.

Good luck.

Did the AW store owner has his/her personal address listed in the WBN. If so, good. At least you have something. If not, shame on you for sending payment. You need the persons address to help protect against fraud which seems to be high here at AW.

Send an e-mail stating that he has 24 hrs to respond. If he does not, do a PayPal complaint and lets hope you paid with a credit card.

does AW have way of contacting him??
it is not unusual the item is no longer available and he is looking for one right now.

There are several messages from other sellers on AW regarding delays with USPS shipments due to new charges. Several mention that it takes sometimes 4 weeks to deliver Parcel Post so many have moved to Priority mail. Do you have any idea how the package is being shipped?

Well.....NO! Since he has NOT responded to my (ONLY) 2 emails requesting shipping info -- ONLY that first "my-dog-ate-my-homework" one!

While there can be many excuses as to why an item has not yet been received, there is absolutely no excuse for not answering emails. Even when my computer is down, I don't just sit there and let everyone hang while I get it fixed. I borrow another, or go to Kinko's or the library, and import my mail to keep my ebay customers happy.

This seller sounds quite unprofessional, and I personally would make no excuses for them after two weeks have passed since the item allegedly shipped.

As has been suggested, I would pull the contact inforamtion, and phone them. If the seller's phone is not working or incorrect, I would then report them to ebay.

I would also see if they are listing or buying or leaving feedback lately.

What's their feedback like? I once left a question instead of a feedback and that got the sellers attention real fast.

The reason I started this thread is because, although I KNOW WHAT TO DO WHEN AN AUCTION GOES SOUR, I don't really know what to do when a SALE ON AN AW STORE GOES SOUR!

There is NO CONTACT INFO to pull -- it's in his AW STORE!

Have I given him enough time before whining to PayPal?

I don't really mind if he was slow to ship via PONY EXPRESS, I'm just getting a little PO's that he hasn't responded!

Although it was ONLY $35.00, it's $35.00 of MY MOOLA!

I have to throw in my two cents here. There was a time recently when my computer was down for a few days. I worked as hard and as fast as I could to get it up and running and in the mean time, spent LOTS of time in the library after work and on saturdays.

If you are a responsible seller, you don't let people wait for emails or for merchandise that is purchased. I try to treat sellers the way I would like to be treated when I bid on items.

By the way, what kind of feedback does this seller have???

"Instant PURCHASE from an AW STORE"

Best bet is to email AW customer support and ask them for advice since this is on their site.

You have a 30 day limit on filing the complaint and it seems the seller may be ignoring you. Yes, I'd file a PayPal's buyers complaint if I was in your shoes.
