I've got an original oil painting...it's signed by the artist "Trittipo." I did an internet search on American Artists which yielded nothing. Anyone ever heard of this person? Thanks...

Here is an art teacher for ya - Maybe it's her or maybe it's a family talent. Wouldn't hurt to ask her.

That was as close as I could come with web searching too. I love a challenge but had to give up on this quest. There must be thousands of painters out there in the real, non-cyber world.

My only thought is: are you sure it's one word/name?

It probably is, but I made that mistake once (thinking that initials and last name written together was a single name), which is why I ask.

Thanks, all! Yes, it's all one name...I just re-checked. I e-mailed that teacher with the same last name but she hasn't gotten back to me yet...probably grading papers! Will check out the "askart" site to see what I can find out. Oh, one more thing...I checked out another site for "American Artists"...I'm not sure this person is American. Is there a similiar site that I can search for "Foreign Artists"? Appreciate the help...as usual.

Go to Google.com, type in the name & ask for search. Ifyou can't find it there, then I don't have any idea where to go. The name sounds Italian Maybe look under "artists Italian"
