I send about one registered package out of the US about once a week. I'm sick of using a half roll of brown tape inorder to send it out. Does anyone know the actuall regulations on what kinds of tape you can use and if you have to cover the whole package?
Thanks Mike

No, just cover the seams. On a flat 8x12 brown envelope cover the sealed flap on top and the factory-sealed flap on bottom and the seam up the back. Tape is sometimes hard to find. Your PO has it if you miss a spot.

Have you asked the PO what the regulations are? As far as tape is concerned, you can buy tape at any office supply store, i.e. Office Max, Office Depot, Staples etc. Also Sam's Club & Costco. I get mine at Costco. It is really top quality #M tape. 6 rolls in a pkg.

It's funny to watch people with a bunch of large boxes stamping everywhere along the brown paper tape. It's like they are putting on roof shingles. Most of them borrow the stamp and pad while they are in line and stamp away and they're usually done when their turn arrives.
