I don't think you're using the right information between your brackets. When go to your image, right click, then click on "Copy Image Location". It should look something like this:

When you add the ubb code, you get this:

Uh-oh!

Hang on to your images, everyone! Looks like AW may be headed for a problem. Seems like it started this way last time.

You only get a box with a red X when you load the URL in the URL window.
Must be terribly aggravating for AW image users.

What is its size? I like it; it looks old, but I can't tell if it looks handmade/homemade or by a known manufacturer. It's reminding me of some pottery line which isn't coming to me at the moment. Good luck, though.

The planter is 4 1/2 inches high and almost 6 inches across. I have seen this pottery before i just cant remember what it is called. i am guessing it is from the 40's to 60'd but that is just a guess.

It reminds me a little of Watts and/or Ath-Tex, but I'm not even saying that is a guess.

Merchant, I'm like you: I feel like I ought to know what it is, but just can't pull it out of my head.

In what area of the country was it found? If it were in East Texas, I would think about Byrd Pottery, but only because they made pieces with flat, unglazed, unmarked bottoms - and the clay would turn about that color after years of wear; seems they did the second color interior glaze on some too, but I'm not sure; I don't have a book any more (and they are very hard to get). The design is, like I said before, similar to a Watts design that was produced at the Ath-Tex Pottery (which was also in East Texas - Athens, Texas), as well as at Watts. If I remember what I have read correctly, a member of the Watts family founded the pottery in Athens; to help him get started, Watts contracted some of their work to him. Being in the same general vicinity, it isn't inconceivable that the Watts design inspired a design at Byrd. But let me hasten to add that this is mere speculation on my part.

I'm surprised someone hasn't posted information for a site that might help you. And that would be your best bet at this point.

Anyone, anyone?
