Harnple, Stoo. The Silly Book. Harper Brothers, 1961
I am looking for a copy of this book, but can not seem to find it anywhere except in a library in maryland. Abe.com does not mention it, so on. It is a children's book that I had as a kid. Any help finding a copy would be appreciated. Any suggestions as to where I should look?

The title sounds very familiar. Let me check my stuff, I think I may have had it up a few months ago and I am sure it did not sell...
I'll let you know (if nobody finds another first).

doesn't really matter if someone else finds one too... My brother wants one, My cousin wants one, My mother wants one... We still have it somewhere, in awful condition, but after 30 years or so, who knows where it is.

There seems to be many variations the the book title The Silly Book by many different authors. If the 1978 book only has one copy at $60 then the 1961 book you seek by the same author is probably going to be much higher.

The 1978 book is a different book. It is called "The Silly Joke Book." The only reference I've found on the internet to the 1961 book is in a library of humor in Maryland, and as referenced when the author has another book for sale.

Still searching... It is embarassing, but I have stacks of books from floor to ceiling all over my house. ( I am the one who threw out all my furniture to handle more Ebay stuff..) I have more kids books and records than I can even describe.
I have been searching through stuff and so far only found "Silly Billy" (what a total disapointment...my hopes were soaring before I saw the "Billy" part.)
I know there is one here somewhere! Sorry I am taking so long! I will keep searching, I am on a quest for Silliness!!

While you're at it.. See if you have "Hilary Knight's Mother Goose" which is my personal fruitless search...
Dejapoo, I'm looking for you too!

Well, my 2 year old twins have about 150 cardboard books, and they are ready now for paper paged books (Yes, {tear} they've stopped eating the books {sob, they are so grown up}). We would like to replace them with nice cheap used books. If you want to sell us a few pounds of cheap books (nice stuff that doesn't sell), we would be interested in that.
