Correct me if i'm wrong. I ran a batch of 150 fixed price auctions to see how they would go. This is what i've found out so far.
1. A person with O-9 feedback can purchase instantly where with a BIN auction they could not. They had to place a bid and wait for the auction to end. Has this changed with BIN also???
2. I keep getting the same email from bidders asking this question as I only ran one item in each auction and understand that you can run as many items as you want to sort of like a dutch auction. The following was from a potential bidder wanting to know about four shelf brackets (Clearly stated in the auction text) The fixed price is deceiving for it says Buy It Now for US $32.00 each which makes it appear that each shelf bracket is $32.00
Hi-
The 'buy it now' price for this says '32.00 each'. Is that $32 for each bracket, each pair or for all four? Thanks.
3. On almost all sales I have received the buyers name, address and zip code. Is this a coincidence or does eBay have it set up to extract this information.
4. When the auction ends there is no link on the auction to send the totals to the buyer thru Billpoint.

You're correct - you can buy a BIN auction at any price. I've been using fixed price for a couple of weeks now, and my biggest problem is that people say ebay won't let them buy just one. They put 1 in the quantity, but then on the next page it says they bought 2 or 3. I emailed ebay about it, but they just said no one else is having this problem, so it must be the buyers doing. I have had 3 people now that have emailed me after completing the sale saying "I just want one of them". It's still saving me in listing fees, but it has it's headaches.

Well i've got 156 auctions ready to lanch tomorrow evening for 10 days. About 90% will have 4 to 10 items each listed under fixed price auctions. The others will be BIN with only one item each. Guess i'll find out how it goes.
OH!!! I do have one auction that is actually an auction LOL!!!

I am enjoying it immensely. I used to list some high-ticket items with a reserver and a BIN price to keep the BIN price active for longer than the first bid. Now I can just list for what I want to sell it for. No dickering around, just here's the amount.
I had a couple of items the other day that I paid $5.00 for each. Dang if they hadn't fetched 70+ and $100+ recently. So I put them up for regular auction, with a BIN price as well (and a reserve).
Dang if they didn't just go for the BIN price outright. I set it at $40, just in case auction fever didn't set it. I think I burned myself, though I still made a good profit.

At the moment I'm sold on fixed price.
Everything I've listed in the past 2 weeks sold.
Everything I've put up for auction still has no bids!

Well I listed 159 fixed price auctions today around 4 PM Eastern. Each auction had 4 - 10 items each in it and runs for 10 days. Each has a gallery picture.
In eight hours i've had 13 sales worth $402.00 in value. I'm really suprised.
