I'm curious what fairly typical "tag sale" items others have found to do unexpectedly well on eBay? I'm not talking about the "diamonds in the rough" where a one-of-a-kind item slipped by an unsuspecting seller, but rather items that are not unusual to come across during Saturday morning "saling" trips.

In the spirit of camraderie I'll begin this thread with my top two nominations.

The first is artificial Christmas trees, which seem readily available for a few dollars (especially during the off-season) and commonly sell for $30-$80 or more on eBay during November and December.

The other item I found to do surprisingly well is baby swings. They often sell for next to nothing at yard sales (I think that with their size, people just want them out of their house when they are done with them), and they tend to get $40-$80 on eBay. Just be sure that what you are selling has not been recalled. (If it has been, you are in luck as you can often exchange it for a brand new model and then sell it as NIB on eBay.)

Okay, those are my two trade secrets given up for the common good. Quid pro quo?
