I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with Square Trade this past week. I have had the account since January. Each month I had a charge of $7.50 put on my credit card account, on about the 11th of the month.

Then on Sept. 28, 29 & 30 and Oct. 1, 2 & 3 each day there has been another $7.50 charge added. I have phoned Square Trade twice now and they say they are not puttting the charges on my account and my credit card account says yes they are. I believe that Square Trade is putting the charges on the account. Now as of Friday all I get is an answering machine when I tried to phone them again. I cancelled my account on the 29th, but still am getting these charges applied.

I was just wondering if Square Trade is having some glitch with their system or if anyone else has had this problem. I am up to $45.00 in extra charges, with no help in sight.

I don't use: Square Trade, so I can't help you there.

But you better get hold of your card Co.
Tell them the problem, and tell them not to accept any more charges from this Co.

What in the wide world of sports ( Blazing Saddles quote ) could make Square Trade worth $7.50/month ?

Since your credit card company says Square Trade is placing the extra payments have them remove them and drop ST as an automatic monthly deduction. ST isn't worth it is it?

There is all together too much of this over and extra-charging by "computer glitches". I am beginning to think it is on purpose. Andale just put charges on my CC and I haven't been with them for 18 months. My radiologist regularly sends out reminders to pay now or else for balances that were paid 6 months ago. If you do get a human, they are "sooooooo sorry". But they are not sorry enough to immediately correct it. The only way is to refuse the charge via the CC provider. Good reason to never let anyone draw from your bank account!

Somtimes it is necessary to pay that way rgrem. But I would go down and dispute every charge by Square Trade and let then say it wasn't them, the charges will be taken off.
