I can't access My eBay page. I'm getting a message that directs me to the announcement page. According to the announcement page, this problem was resolved at 10AM PST. Is anyone else REALLY frustrated with the squirreliness of eBay lately??

Yeah, I know it happens "now and then", but does it seem to be quirkier than usual lately? Sometimes I wonder why they even bother with the Announcements page. It always seems to be hours (and sometimes) days behind what is actually going on.........sigh.
I've been on ebay over 2 years and it is obvious that their programmers and systems people are the cheapest they can hire. The system sucks. Unfortunatley it is the one the bidders look at.

What worries me is how "secretive" they are about their downtimes. I wonder how often, as sellers, we're negatively effected by their glitches. There is really no way for us to know, is there?

I know it has to be affecting bidders. I listed a dress in the vintage dresses category and when I tried to go to that category, ebay just took me around in circles. It took me over half an hour to get to the vintage clothing category.

I was unable to bring up seller lists around 6 am Pacific time, but that's been all today.
Vinnie: I don't agree that eBay brings on cheap programmers, because I know a few programmers who work at eBay and one who was fired from there. eBay could staff up with H-1B Indians, Pakistanis and Chinese, but AFAIK that isn't their hiring strategy.
In situations like today, it's usually the management that's to blame. Not Meg, but several layers down in the bloated hierarchy.

JACK: I've had the same problem trying to relist auctions and I found it was a problem with the Paypal logo's that were already in the auction I was trying to relist. I think when eBay changes their program it makes the Paypal logo's cause an error if you try to relist. I just edited the description and deleted the Paypal logo html and then it would relist fine.
For example, I notice in one of your auctions the Paypal logo is on there still from March...I think that is the cause of your relisting problem. Just edit the description and delete all the html for the Paypal logo.
You will see something similar to this in your auction description:
<hr><samp>On Mar-17-02 at 10:27:18 PST, seller added the following information:<samp><p>
<!-- PayPal Logo -->
(then tons of html after it)
Delete everything starting with the <hr> on down and then try to relist the auction...it should work.
