I'm considering changing my eBay name so that it's more in synch with the Brand I'm trying to build for offline and non eBay sales.
My question is, have any of you done this and did you experience a downturn in sales during the 30 days when you had the sunglasses next to your name?
I do sort of want to keep my current name -- but I don't want to go through the hassle of starting a new one and building up my feedback rating again.

since your feedback stays with your new name, the only thing is the sunglasses and if they click on those it tell them you changed your name...
the one and only time I changed mine, i didn't notice any down sides such as lost bids...2 or three bidders did email to ask why i changed it though

I am also going to change our name. It will reflect the name of our new store. The only drawback I can see is if you have a lot of repeat bidders. They will not be able to search for your auctions by doing an ID search.

spittingcamel, if your repeat bidders have you as one of their favorites in their my ebay....your new id replaces the old.
i watch a couple of sellers who have changed their id numerous times...no problem at all
