Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to set up an international paypal account?
I have a buy it now bidder ( in the UK) that purchased an item on the 16th for $599.99. She wrote a couple of days (on the 18th)later saying that she needed to be "issued a number" from paypal.

We did our usual payment reminder on the 22nd & it was met with this response

as I have had no response. I will be receiving a copy of the member
number for paypal within the next few days and will be able to make
payment then.***
We take all forms of payment. Maybe I should suggest another form of payment???

The person will need to wait until there credit card statement shows up. That will contain the code for them to activate their PayPal account. It does slow things down, but it makes it tougher to use a stolen credit card from overseas.
