I just received an email from a customer that I shipped an item too last week using expedited mail. The post office didn't have any customs and insurance forms, so used expresspost forms with a letter crossed off. However post office wants postage for the amount I insured for. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I solve it? I shipped 5 items that day so I will probably hear from the others with the same problem.
Thanks for any help.

After going to 4 different post offices today,I finally got the new expedited forms(What is expedited anyway?) One post office center in a store told us to go to a Post Office, as they are not yet set up for it!!

I've sent three packages "expedited" in the past couple of weeks. For a small item it is slightly cheaper than the small packet rate, plus you get tracking and can add insurance which you can't do for small packet. It seems like Canada Post has actually done something right for a change.

If your package did not get to them yet after a week. It may still get there. I sold something to a buyer in canada about a month ago and it took over three weeks to get there. Also I won an auction from a seller in canada and the item took just over two weeks to get here.
As for shipping in the USA I use FedEx Ground I found it to be the Cheapest, comes with $100 insurance and Tracking. I was using the Post Office but had enough of the Price increases.

I believe some of these packages are sitting in customs. I had one missing for a month, finally found in customs, waiting for what, I can't imagine.

One thing I really like about the new expedited mail is that it is not only covered for loss, but breakage, until now, Canada Post did not cover for that. It is nice that we can now track packages. These do no apply to small packages however.
