I got an unusual lot at the auction last night. A large box of around 3000 stamped and postmarked envelops from 1953 to 1957 all addressed to the property tax man for Hennepin County in Minnesota. Most of the stamps are 3 cent and 4 cent stamps and most of the postmarks are from Minneapolis. How should I sell these? Break them down in 5 lots by what year they are postmarked? And what would you list them under. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Try asking the folks over at the stamp community chat room on ebay. They will give you tips on how to list the items or even it they are worth listing. What you bought is refered to as covers in the philately world.
Good Luck. --

If you have a fireplace, they will be good for kindling. There is nothing too spectacular about these stamps.

Don't use them for the fireplace, one thing I've learned about collectibles is that someone will buy it. I don't see how anyone can make a judgement about these stamps without looking at them. Maybe there is a registered letter in there, maybe an unusual variety, etc. I would try to sell it as a whole lot, and list it under US stamps, collections and mixtures. Good Luck.
