Hi!

I would like to know how to put an animated gif pic on my Ebay ads where most people put the name of their city and state. It's at the top of the auction where it says "Location". I see some sellers have figured out how to put a small animated picture there. If I could just remember where to set my default location, I could probably figure it out. I think I could just paste the URL into the box where one fills in city and state and it would work? Can I also put the text for my city and state as well?

Sigh!

I have the gif already up on a website, but nowhere to go!

Help!

The problem you'll probably encounter is the lenght of the URL address for the animated GIF. You've only got 45 characters to work with in the 'location' box.

You might try using tinyurl.com to convert your URL to a size where it's possible to get your HTML code in under 45 characters. I've never tried it, I'm a rather plain jane sort. I don't know how long the tinyurl.com link remains valid.

UARU,

No, i'm just brain dead. The URL for the gif is fairly short. I just forgot where to go to type the friggin thing in. I looked at the seller tools, but can't seem to find.

It's way past bedtime! Does that mean I have to stay up until it comes around again? LOL.

That's my URL using tinyurl. I just need to figure out where to go to enter my default location.

Thanks for your help!

OH!

It is in my "preferences" in my AW Pro listing software, not on Ebay's site. DUH! Thanks again!

Wow meadowlark. Chill out. You asked a how to do question and when you get some help, you blast uaru. How does he/she know what kind of computer background you have? Maybe a thank you would be in the cards instead of a blasting.

meadowlark thanked uaru twice that I can see. Sheesh! What's she supposed to do, drive over and bring them a gift? PayPal them some money?

Thank you uara for posting the info on www.tinyurl.com. I'd never heard of any service like that and it's free.
