There is a similar vase on this site described as McCoy Vase With Bird.

And this site has links to McCoy pottery. It's excellent for finding out info on lots of pottery and ceramic companies.

Thank you all for the help - appreciate it. Links are great, would love to get the price the first site is asking! LOL This seems to be a "no name" piece but will try a little more research before listing. Saw couple listed but none had a name and "McCoy vase" key words is overwhelming.

My McCoy book simply calls this vase "Vase with Bird". Made in the 1940's in green, pink and yellow. Book value (1999) of $35 to $45.

Thanks, carat. I normally never bid this early but decided to give it an opening bid. I"ll see what happens. Tight budget right now, just finished a year-long remodeling project which leaked dollar bills down our driveway and into the storm drain.

It's very nice, warts and all. Are there really that many little pit holes in the back of it or is it a camera illusion? What would cause them at the factory?

Thanks for getting it going! Not used to seeing any bids until day 5. Yes there are that many warts but they seem to be clustered and not ALL over, have no idea how they got there but the glaze is over them.
Know the feeling of tightLOL. Just dropped a bundle on our drive and now the push is on to list because I need a new laptop.
