Ebay sent me an email about a second chance offer. We can contact other ppl who bid and did not win to purchase the items.

Does auction watch support this feature or do i have to do it through ebay?

i think you have to do it thru ebay-i just did it twice in the last week-thru ebay-i dont see any advantage doing thru auctionwatch anyway.

How 2nd chance works is:
On your auction page click on bid history, when there, click on the ID of the runner up & you automatically are taken to a page where you choose a 3, 5 of 7 day auction. Choose one & hit enter to go to the confirmation page & then submit.
The auction is then sent to the runner up in a sort of "buy it now" auction page. If they buy you will get a notice from eBay.
I would imagine it has to be done through eBay & it is certainly easy to do so why go anywhere else.
There is no lising fee, but you do pay a FVF.
I use it a lot because I have several of each item I sell.

The only problem with using Auction Watch and the Personal Offer is that it starts what looks like a new auction for you, and auction watch detects it. Since you did not use auction watch to start the auction, if you use AW hosting for your pictures, you have to pay $.10 for the auction to AW. I still do it quite often, but only when the profit margin is great enough to make sure that the 50% sell rate pays my $.20 average expense for AW.

Ebay says we can offer second chance up to 60 days after auction, but I dont see where we can view past auctions older than 30 days. Also I clear all my old auctions out of auctionwatch so that wont work. How do I see older auctions that closed between 30 and 60 days ago?

Oh how the shillers rejoiced when second chance came along. They can now max out the other bidder, who cares if they get stuck with the high bid ??......No one they can just turn around and offer it via second chance to the real bidder.
I will never take up anyone on a second chance offer. If the item is not good enough for Mr.Shiller it ain't good enough for me.
