I was just starting to relist some items that hadn't sold on Ebay from my last batch of closed auctions, when I noticed something odd. I selected the auctions for relisting from the Sales Manager Closed Auction page, and brought up a number at one time for editing and to schedule launching. I noticed that next to the item, that some simply had "relist" next to them and other items "relist-non refundable". As far as I know these items all fit under Ebay's parameters for a free re-listing. Is this an auctionwatch rule? Have I missed something? Any help appreciated as it maybe faster received than waiting for the powers that be.
Thanks in advance.

Did you read the bulleton on automatic relisting? I think you can find the answer in there. I just read it yesterday & can't remember exactly what it says.

Is there a pattern for which auctions are being allowed to be relisted and for the ones not? Were the ones that didn't qualify fixed price items and with more than one item listed. If so, that is why. Please enlighten us.

"Relist" means that you are re-listing the item for the first time. The First (and only first) time you relist an item, eBay will re-imburse you the listing fee if the item sells.

"Relist non-refundable" means that you are re-listing and trying to sell the item for the 2nd, 3rd, etc... time. Ebay will not refund the listing fees if the item sells at this point.

It used to be that eBay would let you relist for free regardless of how many times you tried to sell an item. Unfortunately, they changed that policy about a year or two ago. Hope that helps!

Now I'll have to go back and check my account but I'm pretty sure every ODD #'d listing would qualify (assuming no sales).

So you list the first time, no refund available.
You relist it - and its eligible.
You relist the relist - and its not eligible.
You relist the relist of the relist - and its eligible.

Any sale would start the process over at the First time.
