Hi:
Looking for the right way to handle this.
I've been the high bidder on a dutch auction for 3 days.
Now this morning I was outbid,I'm at the moment out of the running.
I have found another item I can buy with a BIN and would like to do so. So I don't get out bid again.
I don't want to retract bid, don't want it on my slate.
What's bothering me is: What if I purchase with BIN. Then 2 days from now someone in dutch auction retracts a bid and I get back in the running. Doubt if it would happen but it could!

If you have been outbid and are out of thr running, what's the problem? Just keep an eye on the other auction and if the bid gets retracted on the first one, then I would go ahead and retract. As for the reason they want you to enter when you do retract, I'd say something like "Bid on similar item after being outbid on this one." Besides, last I heard, you couldn't retract in the last 24 hours, so if that deadline passes with no retractions, you should be safe.
As a seller, I do look at previous bid retractions on my bidders, but I don't get too concerned unless the reasons they state seem rediculous or trival.

Thanks!
I wasn't aware of the 24 hour thing.
I don't retract bids & And I don't want it to look like I do.
But on the same hand I didn't want to buy 2 of these.
