Very odd.

If Meg is making statements to the press, why do they need Kevin "the mouthpiece" Purseglove?

Lol, I sell them my place as long as they do not charge me listing fees.

I think that means they want to leave the Silicon Valley and it's expensive real estate and high housing costs. The vast majority of those 3,000 staff members are probably low paid workers handling billing and mundane crap like that. They can leave a small group of highly trained computer nerds in the Valley to create new computer code and such but the rest are dime-a-dozen workers that can be hired anywhere. If ebay is smart they will move their headquaters to the nearby Central Valley where homes and real estate are only a fraction of the price of similar items in the Silicon Valley.

You can bet San Jose will bend over backwards to keep eBay.

Here's an interesting link that will amuse some. Just place your cursor over San Jose and the surrounding areas to see the median price of a house.

Median price of housing in Bay area

I remember back in the 80s when the bay area was ruled out by industries as a place to locate to because of the outrageous housing prices.

For eBay to relocate to an area that wasn't as expensive makes good business sense.
