I am considering opening a Ebay store. I would appreciate any thoughts or comments from existing or past users of Ebay stores. I have tried several online stores in the past with no luck with traffic.. I feel as if it's time to give in and become a Ebayer.

I was recently in the same thought process. I had tried other stores, and just seen no traffic to them, or sales. When eBay ran their recent FLD for store sellers, I decided to take a chance, and opened a store. To my pleasent suprise, I am getting lots of views, and even several sales, after less than ten days of being open. Of course, I bet that the seasonal sales time helps, but what the heck, I'll chance $10 a month for a while to test it out. My sales there have already paid for several months.

Do you think an eBay store is better than a AW store? I need to do something because relisting isn't the answer.

Have you tried different keywords in your title? How about a different category? Or what about charging big on shipping and list a small starting bid so you get more eyeballs?

I think an ebay store is merely listing at a different fee structure. Same with Yahoo Stores.

I tried it for the same reasons you are
thinking about. I got the first month
free and paid for 3 more. I made enough
sales to pay the fees ($9.95 per month,
and $0.05 per item and FVF), but that was
about it. No matter what I did I couldn't
get a lot of people to go their, even when
linking from my auctions. For me, it was
a bust. Good luck!
