I, too, changed from AOL to Adelphia. I haven't had that problem, but had to spend over an hour on the phone with Microsoft getting the dang thing set up. It takes 24 to 48 hours for Adelphia's end to start working. If it hasn't been that long, don't worry. You will be able to receive emails from other Adelphia members fast, but not from anywhere else. If it has been longer than that: Are you using mail.abs.adelphia.net as your mail account and under POP3 and SMTP (Servers tab)? Under the Connection tab, make sure you have Local Area Network. If you are running Windows XP, you will need to call Microsoft. Also under the Servers tab, make sure your account name is your email address WITHOUT the @adelphia.net. That was one mistake I made. I don't know if any of this will help. You can try calling Adelphia. They're pretty helpful with everything but Windows XP. LOL.

I've had adelphia for 3 years or so and their emails are often delayed for a few hours except for the spammers!!! It should not effect your accounts other than it might be a few hours before the new email addy kicks in and you get a confirmation from everyone.
