I need some help from the pros.
I don't have a pic for you, but could get one if needed.
I am not sure what I have.
It is from the 1950's and is like a light dome, but hung from the ceiling underneath the light bulb. It is rounded in the middle, white with some lines going through the glass material.
Anyone know what these are actually called?
I just called them dome lights, however, I am sure that they have another name and that someone must be looking for them. They would hang from three chains connected to the light fixture.
These are originals from my mother's house which was built in the 50's. I tossed one out when I could not find anything like it on Ebay, however, now I am having second thoughts with the other two that I have left.

Why don't you go to RestorationHardware.com and see what they call those lights? Last time I looked, they carry those things, which I *think* are called ceiling light glass? But this place, or another that sells lights, will have the correct nomenclature for you.
I'm with you--some of those pieces are very nice--but it's hard to sell something if you don't know what to call it!

There are only two reasons why you won't find an item like yours listed on Ebay. The first is because it's so common or of such low value that it's not worth the 30 cents to list. The second is because it's so rare, you have one of the few in existence. Find out which is which before you toss anything.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
