Half.com urges us to offer expedited mail, and I would truly love to! But nowhere can I find where I can opt in for this. Anyone?

Yes, it is all or nothing. I sold a book today that fortunately they used media mail for. It was a heavy textbook (7 pounds) that would have cost me tons to ship priority. As a seller you can cancel out a sale, if it happened there I would have cancelled it and explained why. Half only gives a less than $5 credit for priority regardless of what it costs you.

And if you cancel the transaction the "almost buyer" can still give you a bad feedback.
The now defunct Yahoo Warehouse/Used Goods Half clone let the sellers set either or both of the 2 shipping methods on each item. Half is an all or nothing deal and not recommended if you have anything over a pound in your inventory.

yeah, I will take the bad feedback and return the favor. I am not going to pay $20 and be reimbursed $5 for it...I already get enough bad feedback from buyers on half even when I do nothing wrong, I would not worry about this. Half should have a system where you choose what items you will expedite (like amazon) until they do, this is my strategy

I don't understand why Half let's the buyer leave a feedback if he didn't even really buy the item. If Half is so worried about canceled orders then why not place a maximum number of canceled orders limit? Let's say 5 in a 6 month period and you can no longer seller on Half. The buyers on ebay can only have 3 final NPBs before they are suspended.

I generally only cancel because I noticed something wrong with the item (i.e. take a close look at a video and notice it is damaged, etc.) - I have never received negative for that. Only things like too long to deliver (for media mail) when I shipped the next day...

Okay, I've heard enough to be convinced not to offer expedited shipping at this point. I do agree it would be great if we could pick and choose which books get that. Until then, bye BYE.
