I sold to 112 individuals and just filed 7 NPB alerts.

For me that is extrememly high. All have 0 to 10 feedbacks.

How did yours do?

A few but twice as many as usual. Some were dead emails and they've been booted of ebay now.

NOrmally I run about 1.5% deadbeat filings and just .75-.8% for FVF but on FLD I had to file 6% NPB and so far none of them has paid since filing with ebay. Oh well, the stuff I sold was leftovers that I was saving for a garage sale this spring. So at least I made some dough.

Free listing day deadbeats are killing me. I filed 28 NPBA last night - have i mentioned - I HATE BODY JEWELRY BUYERS!

The hideous part is - I still have about 600 pieces to clear out.

I only had 22 auctions because I had set them up prior to going out of town for a week. So I wasn't home to put any more in. Sold all 22 for a little over $500.00 & all were paid!!

145 different winners, with so far 8 no pays. A few have said the check's in the mail, but we'll see. Not too bad for my products. I did see some high bidding this last round, so that more than makes up for these deadbeats.

Not only more deadbeats than usual, but also more returns! We've had two so far out of 150 sales, and usually we only have about two all year! The galling part was that both of these items had special handling involved... one item was taken apart to only ship part of it, at the customer's request, to save on shipping. Now she's still not happy So that item went into the garbage.

The other one sent at least 15 long chatty emails, asking for bargains, looking for item which had already closed, wanting to talk about how should she sell things on ebay ( oh, yes - we adore giving out steep discounts and free information )
Now she just got her package (very slow pay, did I mention that?) and hates one item. So now we're villains... with complete misrepresentation in about a million ways. Even though we take returns, always, no questions asked.

Never again! These post-holiday shoppers are more difficult than the whole rest of the year put together. ( Of course, we said that last year, too )

I sold 122 items with only 1 deadbeat and one person shorted me the shipping cost and I am holding that one waiting for the shipping before I send it.

I had 97 winners and 7 still haven't paid. For me, it's too early to call them deadbeats. It's only been 2 weeks since the auctions ended.

It is true that it is still early, but since they closed on the 2nd and everyone else has paid for items that closed on the 6th, 12th, and 14th I am not holding out much hope.

Also, they were all new.

I only file NPB when I have sent a reminder and get no response. So far, no response to the NPB either.

I haven't had over 3 or 4 Non payers in all my Ebay so this is a lot for me. (Also, these 6 did not contact me after auction either).

42 auctions sold, so far 6 non-payers, but for me it's early too, sent out a couple of reminders, no replies. The funny thing is, I had 6 with 0 feedback, and all paid quickly, they were the ones I was concerned about.

Too early yet. I'm still working on slimeballs from mid-December.

Why would FLD make a difference on NPB's?? The only reason I can come up with is that you listed a whole lot more junk. I sell about 90% of my listings the first time through. I will admit that every so often I get something that won't sell. I have a cookie jar that is really cute. Over the past yr. I have listed it 5 times & can't get a bid. Go figure.

No, I didn't sell anything different than usual. I did list 500 items when I usually only list 100 a week and I sold to 112 people instead of the usual 20 to 25.

But, there were more new people and I just usually don't have any deadbeats. FLD really had nothing to do with it.

It was a comment because I haven't had deadbeats and just wondered if this year there were going to be more than usual and thought FLD would be a good time to evaluate, not because it was FLD, but because most people, like me, listed more items than usual!

I think there's also the issue of people being generous to themselves during the holidays then being struck withthe reality of not having the cash to back up the purchases.
