I just received an email through my auction, "ask seller a question" here's the question.
I know this might be a little late...but I'm willing to purchase your item for $XXXXX. If you include some extra items with this. You could just end the auction early and I will send you payment. If not, I guess I'll just see if I want to bid on the item.

People asking this is fairly common. I just say that its unfair to the other bidders so I can not end it early. Thank you for your interest in the auction.
However if they"ask" for free goodies to go with it, then they just go on Ignore. Bottom feeder!

Whenever some pretzel-choker like this slimes on his knees for a freebee, I usually enclose a copy of my least valuable literature (conveniently written on a matchbook cover, opposite LaSalle Extension School Ads)..."The Wit & Wisdom of Dumbo W." This revenge tends to transform the bidder's brain into worthless mush, thus obviating any need to complete a transaction!

I find it frigging amazing just what the 'public' will write on a eBay controlled mail system. At least 30% of 'Ask Seller A Question' inquiries that I receive, are against the rules.
While I am always 'polite', I do respond that I can not participate in what they request.
I guess people figure that email is totally private................ not.

I also would never stop an auction when asked and offered much more then I even thought on getting for the item I still say no way.
Plus with the way he wrote to you asking for extras ...............he would be put on my block list so I don't have to worry about dealing with him later if he did bid on my auction and win. He dosen't sound like the kind of buyer I would care to do a transaction with.
Oh, so now he will do you a favor and think of placing a bid on your auction, ........geeeeeeeee wowwwwww.......thank you........just block him from having the chance of bidding, thats what I would do.

I have found that whenever I am asked to end an auction early I have an item that will do very well. I almost always get more for it than I expected. Of course I never end them early and sell them to the person. I sometimes will add a buy it now, and tell them to purchase it through that.
