here's new twist to an old story ...you can not mention the word nazi in your ebay descriptions ..i had a us army marksmanship badge for sale ..it was made by assmann and sons ..who also made badges during the nazi regime ...kind of unusual hallmark for a us army badge ...ebay shut down all my auctions because that item had the word nazi in the description ..similar to mentioning that volkswagon vw was originally a nazi designed car ...i guess instead of plain words we will have to use code ..ww2 german / teutonic / fascist / post weimar / pre west germany ..or some such thing ...pretty poor for freedom of speech ...thanks for letting me rant ...best regards ..ralph

If you were to put just the title as:
us army marksmanship badge and maybe put WWII
I'm sure who is looking will find it, because they will not be doing a search with the words.........nazi......since Ebay does not allow it.
Just an idea!

There are 5387 auctions with the word NAZI listed in them.
more than likely you violated something other than what you mention...

the only unusal thing about this badge was the german maker ..most us army badges and medals are made in the usa ...like having a barbie doll made in india [ kind of the rare part of the description ] as opposed to just listing barbie doll ...on the flip side to this i looked up nazi dagger [0] listings ...i searched german dagger [200] most of which are either nazi or copies ...this had nothing to do with what the item was but was only to do with the word nazi ...

HI AGAIN JUST AN UPDATE ..IN TALKING [ A RARE THING THESE DAYS ] TO A GUY FROM EBAY ..MY MISTAKE WAS USING THE WORD NAZI ..THEY HAVE A NEW SCANNING PROGRAM THAT LOOKS FOR ANYTHING THAT SAYS NAZI ..AND ACCORDING TO HIM IF I USE THE WORDS THAT TELL THAT THE MAKER OF THIS US ARMY BADGE USED TO MAKE BADGES FOR THE NAZIS DURING WW2 ..THOSES WORDS MAKES THE BADGE A NAZI ITEM ...I WONDER HOW MANY US SOLDIERS WHO WERE AWARDED THIS MEDAL WOULD FEEL ABOUT THAT BIT OF PC FLUFF ...
AND BY THAT TYPE OF SCANNING ANYTHING THAT WAS A ANTI NAZI ITEM BECOMES A NAZI ITEM JUST BECAUSE OF THE DESCRIPTION ...SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING FROM SADDAM'S INFORMATION MINISTRY ...
AND IN A BIT OF REAL IRONY HE SAID THAT NAZI STAMPS WERE ALLOWED EVEN WITH HITLER HEAD ON THEM ..BUT IF THEY ARE POSTMARKED THEN THEY ARE NAZI ...GIVEN THE FACT THAT ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO A MAJOR STAMP COMPANY HERE IN THE USA WAS INVOLVED IN A SCANDAL FOR REPRINTING HITLER STAMPS [ THEY HAD THE ORIGINAL PLATES AND A HUGE AMOUNT OF THE MINT UN CANCELED ONES ARE COPIES NOT ORIGINAL [ SO IF I UNDERSTAND IT ..WHICH I DON'T ] A FAKE COPY IN MINT CONDITION IS ALLOWED BECAUSE EBAY THINKS IT'S REAL ..BUT IF IT HAS A CANCELATION [AND IT IS REAL ] THEN IT BECOMES NAZI AND IS NOT ALLOWED ...WELL I'M CONFUSED

Considering the state of your "condition," you've probably been singing "I Was Kaiser Bill's Batman" all morning! Right? Admit it!

Willy was Queen Victoria's grandson (mother was Vickie's daughter Victoria) and spent many a happy summer vacation in England. A well educated man with a sad inferiority complex over his withered arm and the piddling size of his dreadnaught compared to Englands! Blame for WWI can rightly be spread amongst all the warring parties (EXCEPT for the USA)...blame for WWII rests with the same short-sighted autocrats who shoved the "TREATY" up Germany's heinny

Yeah? So what's yer point (said Arrow!): point being that Willy was not an evil man (or no more or less than any European leader of his day) -- whereas, Corporal Paperhanger was evil incarnate
