Any ideas on sites to go to to appraise a pin? I found no matches on Ebay. It's a 1" gold tone donkey, facing left, with green rhinestones in the ears, the eye and in a raised "56" on the side. It has no metal markings, so I am assuming it is gold tone. But it's heavy, and very shiny and new looking. From looking at Ebay, I'm sure it was for the '56 election. I did a Google search of "democratic memoriabilia", but didn't turn up anything helpful.
Thanks, all!

Pins were given to the delegates to the National Conventions of Democratic and Republicans. It might be one of those. My mother was a delegate in 56 but they got rhinestone pins with Ike and Nixon. I have no idea what the Democrats gave.

BTW after WWII approximately in 1949, jewelry that had either gold or silver in it had to be marked as such. Before that they didn't do it
