I'm kindof out of my element here and need some advice. I bought a box of old magazines at an auction and down in the box there was a certificate from World War I from the Army saying "In Memory of" and listing the person's name, etc. and then it was signed by John J. Pershing as Commander in Chief. Is this kind of thing collectible? Or would it be in poor taste to list? There is also a certificate citing this person for gallantry in action. I also didn't know if Pershing would have personally signed all certificates. I don't want to offend anyone just need advice and also curious. Thanks!

If the signature was real, I would think it would be a good Military Collectible.
John J. (Blackjack) Pershing was indeed the Commander of our Army in WWI and also lead the expedition against Pancho Villa after Villa's raid on Columbus NM

There are a lot of war buffs out there, poor taste? no, far from it. I would not think that Pershing himself would have that much time to sign everyone by himself.
Do a little bit of a search via ebay and search engines to see what kind of a market there is for them.
