Many thanks to those who gave me advice about using endicia & u-pic....

Now I have a question <sigh>. I feel SO brain-dead!

I received a payment (yay!!), and printed up a label from endicia, entering the insurance information on it for u-pic...however, when I printed up the label, no where on it did it show that insurance was being used on the item, and that concerns me.

The only thing that showed was the Priority Mail postage cost, and I would like to know how sellers who use this system make it clear to their customers that the package IS insured....(I hope that makes sense, as I just got up and haven't had any caffiene prepared hot.

Thanks!

PIC does not want any indication on the package proclaiming its insured status -- guess they feel this averts pilferage!

When I ship, I email the buyer saying (amongst other info):

"Your item was INSURED via PIC (http://www.parcelcovg.com/); they require that NO insurance markings be present on the package. A copy of the PIC invoice is available upon receipt of either your FAX number or a SASE."

Have never encountered any problems!
