I received an email this morning from (what seemed to be) EBAY. It stated that during a routine check, my registration information (I've been an ebay member for 4 1/2 years) could not be verified and requested that I provide all types of personal information. It further stated that until I provide the information, my bidding on ebay would not be allowed (I believe it said it would be limited).
THen, they asked for all sorts of personal information; my credit card number, full name and address, my social security (complete number!), etc. although not my password.
I went to ebay and bid on (and won) an item.
I went to MY EBAY and went to update my registration information. all seemed fine; and I didn't get any type of alert from ebay asking me for add'l info?

Good Lord! I just finished posting a new thread here about this very thing. When I clicked on the link in their e-mail, I couldn't get any further--bad request or such. But I've spent a lot of time this morning trying to find what's changed in my information.

Instead of trashing i think you are supposed to forward the emails including headers and footers on to eBay so they can trace the source..i just can't remember the addy maybe someone else can help.
I am feeling kind of left out... I haven't gotten one of those emails yet but i am on the lookout!
