NEVER MIND! Just learned it is indeed a scam. Watch out, people.

I've gotten skittish about e-mails asking for account information. Does this look real or a scam? I've gone to my contact information and it's the same, and I CANNOT for the life of me find where to see what charge card # they have on file for me. I've spent about 30 minutes running around the hamster wheel. Aargh. So here's the e-mail this morning:

I doubt it is for real. Remember eBay will not ask you for your password or any other private information. Go to My eBay and then click accounts, preferences and you can check in there what 4 numbers that are listed for your credit card. There is also a place to change your CC. Good Luck.

Opps to late........

I received an email from Ebay last week asking me to update my registration information. Even though I am pretty sure it was legit, I did not use the link provided in the email. I did as Libra says, I went directly to "my accounts" after logging on through ebay and took care of all of my updates.. I will never follow any links that are provided in security sensitive emails. Just another valuable lesson I learned from reading this board!
