Recieved this email from a customer tonight following a payment reminder....

I have sent you about seven emails requesting your mailing address to send
you a money order, but not one reply until know. I even sent an email to ebay to try to contact and the situaton was the same. If you see my ebay profile, I always paid fast and I have all positive remarks. Sadly about this situation is that this past sunday I receive this same (widget) from a action in yahoo, due for your not respond. We have two choices, or either we put a negative feedback on our profiles or we leave it like it is, because I
already have the (widget). It is your call.

Ha! Lies lies lies! I responded by informing him that I hate liers even more than deadbeats and that
1) I have AOL set to automatically save every email in my file cabinet, can even sort them by email - NONE from him
2) AOL informs users when their contact info is pulled... NONE
3) I Did a completed auction search on yahoo under the widget name and major detail that would be listed...NONE, but pleae feel free to provide an auction number.

Suggested he try again...

Response - Please send address for payment.

Sounds like to me that you aren't going to get this guy to pay, what can you really do about it? If it were me, I would not trade negatives, but let them know that you are going to file to get your fees back.

What I would do is immediately go into ebay and use the service cancelled by mutual consent. I don't know if that will remove the feedback option but you could try. Sounds like he changed his mind but wouldn't tell you. Since you have kept everything and you can prove it the buyer now has second thoughts. Good Luck

The guy broke down and asked for the address again. Appears he is going to pay or at LEAST drag out the process.

Mutual consent cancellation? What and SAVE the maybe loser from the NPB process? No way file for your FEES. (if he does not pay) And that mutual consent thing does NOT stop anyone from posting WHATEVER dumb thing they want to do with feed back.

If he stupidly NEGS you, Just slap him right back in the face! If he has no negs most likely he won't. If he is blood red, One more matters not to him.

He claims that he is now going to send payment, that he is a "man of his word"

If he doesn't I certinly am not going to file as mutual consent - that's REALLY letting him off the hook. If payment does not arrive by next Monday I am filing for non-payment.

I probably won't bother with feedback at all unless he negs first.

I wouldn't do the mutual consent either because it isn't. I just would not leave a neg unless one was left for me.

Hmm.... The guy lies and then does not send payment, what would it take for you to leave a Neg? That is the exact reason Neg feedback was created.

I don't leave negs for nonpayment, never. No point in doing so, unless I wanted to watch the negs pile up on my account. I know it is split here, but I am interested in selling as much as possible and making money, and getting negatives as a seller can't help that. As soon as the feedback system is corrected, and negatives from deadbeats disappear after FVF, I will leave negs. Until then, it is stacked against the dealer.
