Everytime I see that new icon it reminds me of those Fisher Price Little People... those little wooden guys.

I have 2 newbies (0 & 2 FB) bidding on my stuff and they have sunglasses. What is the new icon?

This is the newbie.

And this is the one if they have changed their ID.

Another thing ebay did today was put our colored stars within the parentheses. I don't like mine in there.... it looks like it's trapped.

Thanks Kiara! Wow...the new icons make newbies look so...so....special! HOLY even! I think the new icon should be a little person with the lid of their head open to represent them not having a brain....or maybe with just a great big ?? over their head and maybe a hip shot of an empty wallet? ( I had a tough newbie week last week )

Maybe they should name them zombie icons. Or Dilbert cartoon Elbonians icons.

The Elbonians hail from Elbonia, a small mud-covered fourth-world country that both Dilbert and Dogbert have visited for various reasons. I use it whenever I need a country that is "foreign" to all Dilbert readers. In a series of early strips, Dogbert conquered Elbonia and became its ruler for a while.

Speaking of newbies, they are bidding on lots of my auctions and on other seller's auctions that I just checked.

I have had good success with all newbies so I'm going to treat them good. To me it looks like a little ray of sunshine around the icon. eBay needs an influx of new buyers so I hope they have happy experiences and that they keep coming back for more goodies.

Sheesh, I hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying this.

Cute, but to me they look like little caution lights.

Evenin' everybody...

I'm usually very happy to see new eBay'ers at my auctions and I'm surely willing to help them learn the ropes. Some have needed "guidance" to work their way through the eBay-PayPal maze but that's not a problem.

BUT this last month I had two bidders who never responded to my emails and never paid. In both cases they were new and my auctions were their first bidding experience.

So I'm a little disappointed. Not a great way for them to start on eBay.

Anyway, I agree with Kiara, the new icon is like a ray of sunshine and we need new buyers. Better than the sunglasses...

The sunglasses were not very good. They meant one of two things to me: the person is "shady", or not too bright.
