Hello...I agreed to list a few things for my Mother-in-law and this is one of the items she gave me. I think it is a stampholder but would like to be sure that I list it correctly. I am going to try to load the pics but am not real good at this. I will list the first one and if it works will do the rest. I think everyone is so great on this board about helping and I am amazed at the knowledge some of you have.

Well, the pics are showing on vendio but the jpg is in caps..I will try that. Thanks for the help.

Yeah!!! I got it to show..it is marked Novelty P.N. mfg and dated Nov 11 1884 (patented that date).

Looks like it could be a combination inkwell and pen rest. Just a guess.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

I doubt if it is a stamp holder. It looks to old. I don't think roll stamps were made that long ago. They were always flat, that is if my memory serves me right. Inkwell seem more like it.
