I had a rummage sale and after the sale I found my garage. I emptied my antique booth after 17 years and sold everything for a quarter or less. Made almost $200.00. Not bad. The last day it was sooooo cold I sold everything that was left 2 for a quarter. I had dime scarfs and they were 2 for a dime. Everyone that came got very good bargins. Smiles on a lot of faces since garage sales in our area are getting pretty pricy. It's hard to have a garage sale when the temperature one day is in the 60's and the next day 44 with a terrible wind off Lake Michigan.
I know about the wind off the Great Lakes. We get the wind off of Lake Erie! It was cold today at the flea market and we had to jump puddles. Didn't find anything exciting. Picked up a couple of items like a 1959 Eastern Star Golden Anniversary plate for $1. Still awaiting Spring.

Our neighborhood garage sale is next weekend. I'm hoping to unload some overstock videos. We had a rummage on our own close to a month ago (it was cold) and advertised in the major papers - thousands of new videos - $1.00 each. It took awhile to set up and take down, but we made $1200.00 in 2 days. Hopefully we'll do well next weekend too. We probably won't bring out as much, but I was surprised how well we did. Still didn't seem to make a dent in our inventory.
Of course everyone asked us why we had so many videos. We told them we had an online store (not lying). A few people told us they would try to sell them on ebay - I thought to myself "good luck". We didn't put the best stuff out, only the stuff that we price at $1.00 on ebay to begin with.

We had a Yard sale too Libra lol...were going on vacation this Sat. coming so cleaned out the shed and made some extra money for the trip..293.11 hmmm don't know where that penny came from.What didn't sale went to Salvation Army .So now I aleast have alittle room.Hope everyone else found some great stuff !!
