has anyone heard about launches being slow as a result of eBay's API? This is the reason given by Vendio, curious is there are any Andale, AuctionWorks, or ChannelAdvisor users that could comment. I'm really tired of things launching late.

As an AuctioWorks user... All of my auctions launched quickly and on time while m Vendio auction were "processing" for 45 minutes.

Over the past few weeks my launches have slowed considerably. I've taken to scheduling 30-45 minutes earlier than I wish to actualy launch. Vendio has blamed the slowdown on eBay but I have not been able to determine whether this is factual or not.

At the moment I'm estimating launch delay at roughly 45 minutes and climbing. Moving to another service is a major pain but I'm thinking it may be time to do so as this has gotten to be too irritating. I also realize that this is the window of opportunity before the holiday shopping season.

Update...Just cancelled 16 auctions for this evening.

I have 50 auctions still sitting in processing after an hour - not a happy camper!

There appears to be no discussion of any launch problems on the Andale message boards at OTWA. Appears to only be a problem at Vendio.
I personally feel that Vendio is very fraigle financially and it wouldn't take much to cause major problems for them surviving in the cyber world of commerce.

Hi folks-

Here is the latest on the delays launching to eBay:

Update (11:20pm PST Monday)

After further conversations with the eBay API team, we have learned that eBay will be increasing the capacity of their API servers to acommodate a higher level of launch traffic.

The estimated time for release is still being worked out, however, eBay assures us that the capacity issues will be addressed as top priority.

Stay tuned - we'll will have further updates Tuesday morning. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and are working relentlessly (and late) to get this resolved.

hmmmm...maybe eBay processes requests for launches alphabetically and now that Auction Watch is Vendio we get bottom priority! LOL

Just kidding but it makes about as much sense as only Vendio having the API problem (whatever the heck that is!)
