Thanks jensmome ....I thought it was bone china like the other tea cup I bought today but it could be porcelain. How the heck do you tell the different ...I found this... Fine china, or porcelain, is made from kaolin clay, a fine white clay found in China, feldspar and flint. These materials are fired at extremely high temperatures to form a nonporous ceramic. Bone china is a variation which includes bone ash to intensify whiteness. To see the difference between porcelain and other china, hold a piece to the light and place your hand behind it. You should be able to see the shadow of your hand behind the porcelain. But the piece marked Bone china made in England does this too

This is out of my area of expertise. I'm pretty sure this is porcelain. Bone china is very thin and I don't think it was ever fired with luster. My suggestion would be to post your question and picture on the eBay Glass and Pottery Board.

Thanks again jensmome ! As you can see it's way out of area(thinking i really don't have an area lol,I just get lucky sometimes)...I just thought it was pretty, kinda art deco looking from maybe the 60's/70's

Prcelain is a generic term & incldes Bone China. I agree that if this is Lustre Ware It probably is not Bone China.

Thanks sanmar ! I was very confused with the description I read at the other site cause I could see my hand through both cups ...I'll just put luster ware in description when I list it.
