Talk about missed opportunity! They had the potential to give PP a real run for it, but due to gross mismanagement & incompetant execution, they now make ExchangePath look well-managed!

They will NOT be missed...

[ top ]

How long should it take for my recipient to receive money I've sent internationally?

All international transactions initiated before closure of c2it service on November 9, 2003 will continue as normal and attempt to be delivered to the recipient.
Delivery timeframes for international transactions may vary based on how you choose to send the funds.

International Direct Deposit/Wire Transfer - After we receive your International Send Cash request, the funds will generally arrive at your recipient's bank in two to four business days in most countries, and two to six business days for direct deposits to Austria. The time it takes for your recipient's bank to credit the funds into your recipient's account and make them available depends on the individual policies of the bank and country to which the funds were sent. c2it cannot control nor verify when the funds are credited to your recipient's bank account.

International Checks - International Checks are sent via 1st Class mail within two business days after we have received your request. Note that postal delivery schedules to and within individual countries can vary, so please plan accordingly.

Banamex Transactions - Transactions are sent as soon as you click "Next" on the Review screen and are instantly available to the recipient.

[ top ]

How can I confirm that the international transaction I sent was received?

All international transactions initiated before closure of c2it service on November 9, 2003 will continue as normal and attempt to be delivered to the recipient.
To confirm the receipt of funds sent via direct deposit or check, you must contact your recipient directly. c2it cannot control nor verify when checks are received or funds deposited in an individual's bank account. For Cash Pickup @ Banamex transactions, you will receive an e-mail notification when the cash is picked up.

[ top ]

My recipient received a different amount than the amount I sent in a direct deposit. What happened?

The difference can be a result of charges imposed by the recipient's bank or lifting fees assessed by any international bank processing the transaction. c2it has no control nor can we predict when an international bank will charge these fees.
[ top ]

What does a recipient need to pick up cash at a Banamex branch?

The sender must provide the recipient with the reference number he or she received after completing the transaction. The recipient must also present one of the following types of original and valid photo IDs: Mexican Voters Registration Card (Credencial de Elector); Mexican Military ID (Cartilla Militar); Mexican Professional License (Credula Profesional); Passport (Pasaporte)*; U.S. Alien Resident Card (Tarjeta de Residented); U.S. Driver's License (for U.S. residents).
*If the recipient of a Cash Pickup @ Banamex is a Cuban citizen, in addition to the ID requirements explained above, they must also present proof of residency outside of Cuba. U.S. sanction laws require us to block these funds if they cannot provide this proof.

[ top ]

How much time does the recipient have to pick up the funds from a Banamex branch?

All international transactions initiated before closure of c2it service on November 9, 2003 will continue as normal and attempt to be delivered to the recipient.
The recipient must pick up the funds within 30 days of the transaction date. If the funds are not picked up within 30 days, they will be returned to the sender via a U.S. dollar check to the address we have on file. Differences in the foreign currency exchange rate could result in the sender receiving a higher or lower U.S. dollar amount than the original transaction. The transaction fee will not be refunded.

At least they had enough sense to throw in their cards and quit.

I never used them as a seller or a buyer. I never had a buyer ask me to accept payment through them either. They probably saw that ebay was going to make it more difficult to accept online payment outside of paypal. I wonder why when microsoft inserts the IE browser in the operating system the justice department investigates, but when Ebay tries to push out other online payments, all is ok..What is the difference (I don't agree with the microsoft suit, and feel that ebay has the right to push their own service)

Microsoft was a bit more pushy in their pursuit of browser dominance. There was a fine line and MS crossed it.

Remember, eBay was a victim of PayPal's system also. eBay spent millions on BillPoint and even with 2 years of eBay's marketing muscle it failed against PayPal. If you can't beat em, buy em.

C2it going out of business!? They were never even in the game. The closest Citibank came to getting in the game is when they tried to buy PayPal.

I used it once for an Ebay purchase. They were offering $10 for using the service. It ended up to be a nightmare. The guy never got his money. It was somewhere in purgatory. So I ended up sending it through Paypal. I did save $10. Needless to say I never offered it to customers.

I'm rather upset with this.

I was holding out on all hope that paypal wouldn't be the ONLY OPTION on Ebay and it is turning out that way.

Ebay makes it very difficult to be an adult product seller even though only 15-20% of my listings are adult merchandise.

Anyone of you that cry about the injustice of Ebay and the UNEQUAL and very NON-Level playing field Meg loves to have quoted in interviews still does not and never will match the inequality and injustice done to the mature audiences sellers.

Paypal had no problem with adult merchandise HELL they even allowed gambling sites.

When Ebay bought paypal I had a sick feeling in my stomach that eventually Ebay would force paypal into their puritanical imposed moralism.

Sure enough it happened. June 12th to be exact.

C2it joined the fray when everyone else was making online payment services ...... about the same time as FLOOSE remember them?

C2it owned by none other than CITIBANK

CITIBANK with more money resources and power than Paypal and Ebay combined.

Hope was citibank and its millions of customers would be prompted to use C2it but no effort was ever made in doing so.

The coding was crappy the navigation if you didn't freeze was shoddy.

My hope was placed into a realy strong and powerful bank to go head to head and come out the winner.

They put no effort into it at all.

Just think if Citibank had a C2IT account set up automatically for every one of their millions and millions of card holders. They could have more accounts ready to go in a single day than paypal created in 4 years

They could have

They should have

They didn't
