I have a craft book to sell with a lot of contents. My question is, if I scan the contents page, will all the words on it come up in a search, or do I need to write the whole page out in my description?

I believe the scanned page will just show up as a jpg and you will need to type any words you want to be showing in search.

If you use a digital camera, you can get a very detailed pic that will show the content s very plainly. I have never been able to understand whypeople won't use a digital camera. I have both & never use the scanner. I can do sharper & faster images with my digital camera.

Same with me sanmar. I have a new scanner and I just don't understand how it works. Oh for my old one that was so easy to use. This one is horrible so I just use the digital camera and forget about it.

Hi Sanmar,
I agree with you, I can get much better pics with a camera than a scanner in a fraction of the time. However I don't think that was the issue. She wants to know if the search engine will pick up the words in the image which of course it will not because it is a JPEG. I have never use OCR and I think the answer Fluffy gave is accruate concerning that.
