I purchased a Safety Back-up lite model 401 for trucks and cars. It is still in the box with the paperwork, never mounted.

I need to find out when this was made. It was produced by Northeast Tool & Die Works, Inc. Kansas City, Missouri. There is no zip code on the box or the paperwork.

The light is chrome plated, rust proof, adaptable to all cars and trucks.

Haven't taken a picture yet but have searched the web for the last day and a half, no luck.

Here's a hound! Date of manufacture would have to be before 1963 and could go back as far as the 30's. Condition might be more important than when or who made it. If the paperwork has a car pictured or a drawing I can can date it from that.

I've found that there is a LOT of stuff not on the internet. Most of the stuff on the internet these days is stuff that is for sale and that's what the searches usually find.

Rarriffle, try the site and see if you could find something similar in style, maybe this site might help you. Just a guess on my part.

Condition of the light and the box are mint. I do not believe the box was ever opened before I opened it.

the paperwork is just a little 3" piece of parchment paper giving installation instructions, no pictures.

I will try that web site, thanks

Will take a picture in the morning, spent the whole day today at the casino losing my butt!

Is there a copyright date on the little paper?
