I received an email this morning from a bidder in Taiwan. Is this one of the countries which has a high rate of fraud.

Bidder wants to bid on a ceiling lamp I have list.It will cost $48.00 to ship Global but the price includes insurance and return receipt.

What would you do?? I have no trouble shipping to Europe, but have yet to ship to Asia.

I never had any trouble with bidders in Taiwan.
I would take them any day over South Korea.

Great, I just told then I would ship but only with cash, money order or bidpay.

Now, Do I have to sign up for bidpay, or will they just send me a nice email saying I have to log in ot get my money??

No, with bidpay (auctionpayments.com now) you don't have to sign-up. They will just mail a money order without you having to do anything. But it is better to sign-up in case the buyer makes a mistake in your address, then they will correct it. Also if you sign up you can check on the status of the money order.

Thanks for the replies. I have signed up with bidpay. Been meaning to do it anyway so I could offer it on my auctions.

I haven't heard back from the bidder yet.
