My my my -- I can't believe the people who posted to the first thread actually are active sellers on Ebay. Are you making money? My my -- how/ where do you find the time to sell on Ebay and keep all the threads going on this message center?
Busy people, people who are out making REAL money (not a hobby and not retired), wouldn't spend the amount of time 'you' people spend on this message center trading insults and cruel remarks.

Gee, you seem to spend a pretty fair amount of time here. I guess you're retired? Or a hobby seller??

My My, How snobbish are you? It seems to me that this message board is a resource, same as a Teaching Manual would be. In any profession, knowledge is power. How is it different in on-line auctions? What is truly amazing to me is that as a teacher you have chosen to come here in the first place. I wonder if over at the history message board is there a post asking "I am a History teacher teaching a class on the Revolution, does anyone know how the united states became an independent nation?"
I think not.

OK - It's official. You truly are an ignorant self righteous little twit. You have been raked over the coals, and quite deservedly so, numerous times for coming here to get the knowledge that you need to instruct people that have been duped into believing that you are not really the clueless leaching individual that you are. Despite that you have had the ultimate gall to come back, ask for info and exclaimed your once again undying ignorance as to how ebay works. The great part is that as you ask for info you also feel that you somehow have the right to tell the people that have provided the few bits of actual knowledge that you have what they are allowed to say and when these people declined to obey your instructions you turn to insults and still another example of your ignorance as to how simple it can be to sell successfully and profitaly while still having the time to do whatever it is you wish with your life. Considering that this is coming from someone that thinks that laser disks are collectors items and incapable of reading pay structures it actually does not shock me.
If you want to play teacher when you know little to nothing about what it is you are instructing people about that is on your own conscience. There are even people here who will give you advice, but there is a price and that is that you get to hear what others think of your actions. Too many of us have dealt with the fools who think they know what's going on to sit blithly by while you get set to ralease a whole new batch upon us.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses. She started her class by saying, "Everyone who thinks you're stupid, stand up!"
After a few seconds, Little Johnny stood up.
The teacher said, "Do you think you're stupid, Little Johnny?"
"No, ma'am" little Johnny replied, "but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself!"

you might want to delete your homepage URL from your sig before you flame the board, Salgal.
I wish you the best of luck with all your affiliate sites, though.
I have taught web classes myself where I knew only a little more than the students. They were sucessful classes anyway, because I told them so upfront. What I teach, in that situation, is HOW TO FIND OUT. How to research and find out what you need to know. "I don't know- let's find out together" is a perfectly respectable answer for a teacher to give a pupil.

Salgal, I won't be helping you on Vendio. Your attitude is terrible, and I fear that you're giving your students misinformation.
If you can't be civil here, you aren't really welcome. (Dr. Phil would devote a whole show to your attitude!)

Any class, on any subject is only as good as the instructor and the resources available to that instructor. With that said, I did a little arithmetic and came up with the fact that myself and three other posters who live within shouting distance of me have a combined total of nearly 25 years experience selling on Ebay. When we add in some of the others like Kiara, Peep, Stone, Fenix and many others, we far exceed the century mark. Sorry Salgal, but I won't be sitting in on any of your classes. I'm one of those sellers who busts my butt to get my auctions listed and then use a good deal of spare time to prowl the Ebay Outlook and learn about the online auction business from the pros. The people posting in this thread have learned the pitfalls of Ebay the hard way. Many have lost large amounts of cash to scammers and dishonest buyers. Many have been busted by Ebay for violations that are burried and unknown by 99% of the sellers on Ebay. We come together daily and share these experiences with each other and we all come away as better sellers because of it. All I can say is I wish you the best of luck in teaching a course that will teach a student in one semester more than they will learn in one week at Vendio U.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Salgal48: I hope that this may help put things in perspective for you, basically what everyone else is saying.
I used to tell my childern: " I will "help" you with your homework, but I will not do it for you.If you don't understand what the "teacher" is instructing, stay after class for extra help, the teacher is being paid to teach you, and it is their job to teach it to the class fully, not mine. I get paid for my job and the teacher gets paid for their job.
My impression is that you are coming to this board asking others to do your "job".
