Yes, the website is finally done
Now I'm looking into putting a counter in it. The free service I'm looking at tracks first time visitors vs repeats and all sorts of other stuff, but they use cookies....isn't that a no-no? I don't want to turn people off if their browser is set up to prompt to accept cookies. Also does anyone know if an email service if people want to join an email list? I think my host has one for $10.00...is that the way to go?
PS - Shameless plug - website is www.thedealwheel.com and the code to get 10% off until April 30th is newweb (we're putting coupons in all our ebay packages). Ok, I promise I'll never mention the website again

I use http://extreme-dm.com/tracking/, it doesn't use cookies I believe. gives u a nice stats for a free service too.. has monthly, weekly access.. where these hits are coming from, etc. etc. check it out.
i believe there's a lot more free ones out there that are good, but I'm so out of the web making deal I'm not quite sure..

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Thanks everyone - and thanks for posting the correct link
I had a lot of trouble with slow loading pages a few nights ago (I'm on a cable modem and it was taking 3-5 minutes!). I was really getting worried, but I think it's ok now. I hired someone to do all the technical stuff, and I designed it and put in the products with a program he made, but when he put it on the server for me he didn't delete my old site first, so I had a ton of extra files in Front Page. I deleted all the ones I knew were old (but there were some I wasn't sure about), and it seems a little better now. Please let me know if it's slow for anyone else.

Welcome back from Hawaii. I bet you wish you were back there after our winter.
You pages loaded fast for me and I am on a dial up. I like your website because it is very clean and easy to use. Clean I mean not junky. Easy on the eyss and very smooth into your next screens. Great Job!!!!!!!!

I would use at least one page on the site linked to my eBay auctions-- remember you can have a link in your auction to an auction item info page and that page can have a link to other pages on your site.
In any event, it is a great move diversifying out of eBay.

ihula, your site is a huge improvement from when you first started. It is very clean looking and loads instantly for me.
I'm presently using my 19" monitor and on your home page I have to scroll sideways somewhat to read all the info but the rest of the pages I looked at seem fine.
Personally I would never put a link to ebay on my sites. I sell mainly antiques and collectibles for much more than I'd get on ebay so wouldn't want to send my customers there. I feel that's defeating the whole purpose of having a separate website.
If you expect more money from your site sales why would anyone want to link to ebay? JMHO

I agree with Kiara - I don't want to link my ebay store or auctions. Especially since my wholesale section is designed for ebay sellers - I don't want them to think I'm their competition. I know when I go to a site for bulk merchandise if they sell on ebay I won't buy from them - don't want to compete with my supplier.
