I have some very rare & desired china on auction which goes off tonight. All of a suuden I have 7 pieces that are bid on by a newbie who only registered today.. Oh, MY we are talking about nearly $100.00 if they win all of the biods.. Really bothers me after the experience I had 2 weeks ago with a newbie that I never heard from.

Take a deep breath and keep optimistic and let's hope for the best. I've had a number of newbies lately and so far so good (I'm knocking on wood right now) I haven't had any problems. I try not to worry until I have something to worry about. Let's keep thinking the glass is half full...

Good luck. I've had a lot of newbies lately with nothing but GREAT success...until an auction last week. Never received a response to my EOA and got contact info tonight. Called the number and it's a nursing home. Need I add they never heard of this person...either as a resident or an employee! Reported to eBay immediately! And, now to relist or offer to second bidder. Oh well...

All you can do is to wait and see how this plays out. If it makes you feel better then always remember that you can get stiffed by someone with high feedback also.
Hope it works out well.

Thanks for the support. I know that you can be stiffed by someone with a big plus fdbck. It ahs happened to me before. I wouldn't be so uptight, if it weren't for the newbie who stiffed me for $150.00 2 weeks ago.

Blueeyes--Oh Lord! A nursing home! LOL. I cannot imagine how that would happen but it's dang scary. LOL. This would be a good made-for-TV movie, wouldn't it?
But about the Newbie problem: Most of my newbies are 'way easier to deal with than some of the oldtimers. Once in a while there's one who just can't be bothered to reply to my e-mail UNTIL the NPB warning goes out. Then they usually hop to it.
Sanmar: Have you offered to help the newbie buyer by answering any questions he/she may have about buying on Ebay? Sometimes those poor folks are just flummoxed by it all; they know how to bid, but the rest is gibberish to them.

I agree stopwhining. When I get a buyer with 0 feedback, but they know exactly how to use Paypal etc. I am pretty sure that this is not the first time they have used eBay!
